West Falmouth is a historic district that is part of the town of Falmouth, Massachusetts. Located along Massachusetts Route 28A, the northern end of the area bounds Bourne Farm and extends through West Falmouth Village to Garrison Road. Settled in 1673, the village is home to a number of iconic landmarks, including the Quaker Meeting House and Quaker Carriage Sheds and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
West Falmouth features beautifully preserved homes from colonial times, beachfront estates, as well as easy access to the Shining Sea Bikeway. Built on a former railroad right-of-way, the Shining Sea Bikeway is a 10.7 mile paved path ideal for casual and beginning cyclists, winding through cranberry bogs and ponds to end in scenic Woods Hole. Chapoquoit Beach, a family friendly expanse of sand with low tide and opportunities to explore tidal pools, is also located close to the center of West Falmouth. Sippewissett is located along Buzzard's Bay in West Falmouth and families have enjoyed staying at the Sippewissett Campground for over 50 years.
