Wellfleet Real Estate

Wellfleet is world famous for its briny and succulent oysters – the focus of the Wellfleet OysterFest held every October.  The name “Wellfleet” is variously thought to come from a brand of oyster popular in England in the late 1700s or from “Whale Fleet” after the whaling industry that drove the early economy.  Today bustling Wellfleet Harbor is home to sail boats, power boats as well as larger commercial vessels which deliver much of the fresh catch on the menus in local restaurants.  Read more about Wellfleet real estate.
