Truro National Seashore

Truro National SeashoreA significant lure of Truro lies in the town's remote undeveloped Atlantic coastline which was forever protected when the Cape Cod National Seashore was established in 1961.  Today nearly half of Truro’s land mass lies within the National Seashore.

The National Park Service administers the popular Head of the Meadow Beach in Truro and a former Coast Guard Station within the National Seashore located by Ballston Beach operates as a youth hostel.  Truro’s other Atlantic Ocean Beaches are located within the National Seashore, but are managed by the town.
