Town Cove Orleans
Town Cove is shared by both the town of Orleans and the town of Eastham, and has factored significantly in both towns' history. Although ocean access to the cove is made difficult by the sprawling Nauset Marsh, Town Cove has thrived for several centuries. Historical growth focused around whaling and the shell fishing industries. Today, pleasure fishing, sailing, and water sports are common pastimes. Many visitors choose to explore the ins and outs of Nauset Cove by canoe or kayak, with Town Cove as the departure point for the scenic journey.Â
The Orleans shores of the nearly two mile long, half mile wide, salt water cove are lined with many beautiful waterfront, and water view homes. Town Cove can be found at the end of Cove Road off Route 28, just outside of Orleans Center.Â
