Squantum
Squantum is one of the most desirable addresses in Quincy, home to many of the area’s most expensive residences. The neighborhood is connected to the mainland by a causeway and is technically considered a barrier island as it is surrounded on all four sides by water. Squantum optimizes its waterfront setting with many properties offering scenic views of the Boston Harbor and Boston skyline. The area’s tree-lined streets, combined with the waterfront setting, provides an resort feel to the neighborhood. The community includes two public beaches —Nickerson Beach and Orchard Beach — as well as Squantum Point Park. The park is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream with hiking trails and select points for canoeing or kayaking.
Squantum is located in the northernmost part of Quincy, bordered on the north by Boston Harbor and Dorchester Bay; to the south by Quincy Bay and North Quincy; to the east by Moon Island and Quincy Bay and on the west by the Marina Bay Development.
