Skinequit Pond Harwich
Skinequit Pond is a 15-acre kettle pond located in South Harwich, MA. A favorite of nature enthusiasts, Skinequit Pond is home to heron, osprey as well as painted and box turtles on a seasonal basis. A small corner of the pond is devoted to a spring herring run, where herring make their way back from the Cape Cod Bay to spawn in Skinequit's clear waters. A small collection of antique cottages and Cape Cods are within walking distance of the pond, providing wooded seclusion and the perfect weekend retreat.
Skinequit Pond is located south of 28 and west of the Red River off Uncle Venies Road.
