Sand Pond Harwich
Tucked between Bells Neck Road and Great Western Road in Harwich, Sand Pond has long been a local favorite watering hole. Perfect for swimming,kayaking and canoeing, Sand Pond has a large sandy public beach offering a picturesque view of the undeveloped shoreline on its far side. Parking around the pond is plentiful and requires a beach sticker during the summer. The area also provides restroom facilities.
A small collection of modern Cape-style homes and bungalows are nestled within conservation lands within walking distance of the pond as well as the Cape Cod bike trail. Historic former Sea Captain's homes located along the main drag in Town Center provide another distinctive housing option. Residents enjoy hiking the trails at the nearby 259-acre Bell's Neck Conservation Lands.
Sand Pond is located on Great Western Road near Town Center in Harwich. The pond is bounded by Depot Street, Great Western Road, Lothrop Avenue and Main Street.
