Ronan Park

Ronan Park is a small cluster of homes in the Meeting House Hill neighborhood of Dorchester. The southwestern part of the Hill neighborhood encompasses the Park, which was largely developed as a residential neighborhood after 1870. The Olmsted brothers, the sons of Frederick Law Olmsted, the father of landscape architecture, designed Ronan Park with the meticulous detail present in many of their other projects. The Park is the highest point in Dorchester and spans 11 acres, offering expansive views of the Boston Harbor. The view from the summit has been a favorite for artists dating from the late 1800s. More recently Boston Magazine named Ronan Park “Best of Boston” in 2017 for its kite festival and other outdoor activities.

Ronan Park is part of central Dorchester and located at the intersection of Mount Ida Road and Adams Street.
