Provincetown Antique Homes

Provincetown has a long history highlighted by the Pilgrims landing in Provincetown Harbor in November of 1620. While anchored in the harbor the Mayflower Compact was created that set forth the rules under which the new colony would be governed before the Pilgrims came ashore in the West End. Provincetown was incorporated in 1727 and was initially a small fishing village. By the late 19th century Provincetown became a tourist destination and has continued along this path for 130 years.

Two areas of Provincetown are on the National Register of Historic Places, the Provincetown Historic District and the Dune Shacks of Peaked Hill Bars Historic District.
