The Jonathan Young Windmill in Orleans is a town landmark and one of the oldest windmills in the United States. It was built in the early 1700s in South Orleans. Over the years the mill has been disassembled and moved many times. In 1983, while located in Hyannisport, it was dismantled and lovingly restored by the Orleans Historical Society over a two year period.
The Orleans Windmill is located on Route 6A in South Orleans on Town Cove, just south of the Route 6 rotary.
