Marstons Mills Real Estate
Marstons Mills is a rural village located on Route 28 in the northwest section of the town of Barnstable. True to its name, Marstons Mills served as the site of a fulling mill in the late 1600s that cleaned wool as well as a grist mill that operated into the early 1900s. Today, the community produces many of the Cape’s cranberries.
The housing stock comprises largely single-family homes in secluded neighborhoods tucked away near Marston Mills’ many lakes and bogs. Ponds are particularly plentiful, including Hamblin’s Pond, Muddy Pond, and Shubael Pond on Route 149, among others. Burgess Park and the herring run provide scenic views as well as a number of recreational activities for families and children of all ages. The area provides a great entry point for many first-time home buyers looking to buy on the Cape.
