Marshfield Hills
Marshfield Hills is a residential neighborhood in Marshfield offering a small-town feel with easy access to Marshfield’s acclaimed beaches and highly-ranked schools. The area is also close to Route 3 for commuting purposes and offers a number of restaurant options along Route 139.
Hampstead Estates is a signature neighborhood popular with families. The area comprises a small cluster of Capes, hip roof, Federal, and classic Colonials, many perched on the neighborhood’s signature hills to optimize the elevation's natural light and fresh breezes. Riverside Circle is another neighborhood prized for its North River views and private neighborhood association offering exclusive use of dock, boating and picnic areas. Newer homes are available at Horseshoe Farm, a community located off Spring Street and across the street from Cove Creek.
Marshfield Hill's best known landmark, however, is the Marshfield Hills General Store, recognized as a slice of quintessential New England. The store has been operating for more than 150 years and is currently owned by actor, Steve Carrell, who stocks the store with hard-to-find penny candies, food, and other trinkets.
Marshfield Hills bounds the North River to the north; the Oak Street Woodland area to the southwest; Highland Street to the south; Pleasant Street to the southeast; and the South River to the east.
