Kingston Waterfront
The coastal town of Kingston, a former shipbuilding center, marries its rich history with numerous opportunities for waterfront living, including beach houses and more traditional single-family homes. The banks of the Jones River provide a scenic setting for single-family homes, ideal for mooring a boat, adding a dock, or enjoying a tranquil kayak ride.
Rocky Nook is another Kingston neighborhood that sits on a small peninsula of land on Kingston Bay where the Jones River meets the Atlantic Ocean. While Rocky Nook once was a resort neighborhood of summer cottages, many homes have been converted to year-round estates. These homes offer stunning views as well as direct access to the water along Gray’s Beach. Silver Lake also fronts rich plots that were former cranberry bogs and even farms used for commercial purposes.
All areas provide numerous recreational opportunities for boating and fishing just steps from your back door. Waterfront homes can also be found along Wapping Road, Shore Drive, Riverside Drive, and Starling Avenue, to name a few areas. Waterfront homes in Kingston are generally considered more affordable than other South Shore communities with similar coastal topography.
