High Head Beach Truro
High Head is a remote Atlantic Ocean Beach located in Truro north of Head of the Meadow Beach near Pilgrim Lake. The sandbar at High Head Beach is a popular spot for gray seals to perch during low tide. The seals are protected and not to be disturbed when resting on the beach.
Access to High Head Beach is via High Head Road which is located off Route 6 between the Outermost Beach Resort and Pilgrim Lake. From the parking lot on High Head Road, it is a 10 minute walk via a path over the dunes to the beach. High Head Beach is also accessible by four wheel drive vehicles.
