Greenbush
Greenbush combines a historic hamlet and new development center with an array of homes and businesses along the Route 3A corridor in Scituate. Homes in Greenbush range from cottage-style capes to A-frames and colonials that are typically more affordable than properties in other Scituate communities. The North River flows through Greenbush and select homes and condo developments including James Landing and Riverway feature frontage on this picturesque waterway.
The Greenbush-Driftway District maintains a number of recreational opportunities bolstered by the abundance of natural resources in the area. The community is home to one of the best public golf courses in New England. The rolling emerald hills of the Widow’s Walk Public Golf Course run alongside the Driftway, featuring views of the North River. The North River Conservation Park is a family favorite, revered for its public fishing pier, picnic area, network of trails and canoe launch with expansive views of the marshlands and mouth of the river. The Old Oaken Bucket Pond is another popular waterway.
Working professionals find the community especially appealing because of the MTBA Greenbush Commuter Rail station. Trains leave the station on a daily basis to Boston’s South Station as well as other points of interest along the South Shore.
