Columbine
Columbine is an established, venerable neighborhood located in the northwest corner of Milton, near Mattapan. The neighborhood features stately homes mostly built in the the first half of the 20th-century. The curvy, tree-lined streets in the Columbine neighborhood feature an eclectic mix of architectural styles including Colonial and Capes style homes.
The Columbine neighborhood is bounded by the Neponset River to the north, Adams Street and Canton Avenue to the east, Brook Road to the south and Blue Hills Parkway to the west. The neighborhood is served by 4 stops on the Mattapan Trolley which connects to the Ashmont Station on the MBTA Red Line for cenvenient access to Boston. Columbine residents enjoy convenient access to Glover School, Pierce Middle School, Milton Academy, Turners Pond, Shields Park, Kelly Field, Milton Village, Lower Mills and more.
