Cohasset Village is a quintessential New England town center found west of MA Route 3A that wraps around a spacious common with a small pond. The area is bisected by Main Street which runs from north to south and is lined with with a picturesque array of restaurants, local shops, eateries and small boutiques. Landmarks include the Cohasset Town Hall to the north; the Paul Pratt Memorial Library in the northwest corner of the neighborhood; and the Cohasset Harbor Inn located to the east. St. Stephen’s Church with its 56 bell carillon has offered Sunday concerts since 1924. Residents enjoy the pedestrian-friendly walkways as well as sampling flaky treats from the French Memories bakery.
While a cluster of historic and recently renovated single-family homes are sprinkled along South Main Street, there are other new communities located in and around the village, including the Heritage Estates development located just west of Main Street and 100 Pond Street located by Cohasset High School. Cohasset Village is a short drive from Sandy Beach as well as the Commuter Rail Train to Boston’s South Station.
