Chatham Boat Moorings

With a location at the elbow of the Cape where the Atlantic Ocean meets Nantucket Sound, Chatham is literally surrounded by water.  Boaters are drawn to this waterfront community and many utilize seasonal moorings to keep their boat on the water.  Below is a map of the locations that Chatham allows moorings.  Please contact the Chatham Harbormaster for details about mooring your boat in a specific area and to be added to a mooring waiting list.

If waiting 10 or more years for a mooring in Chatham seems unrealistic, you may want to consider a home in Chatham with a private boat dock.  The ease of loading your boat from the dock behind your home rather rowing to a mooring is a significant benefit for many avid boaters.  Typically homes in Chatham with dedicated boat docks are both scarce and expensive.
