Cedarville
Cedarville is a coastal community that is the southeastern most village in Plymouth. Prized for its convenience to the Cape as well as its beachfront setting, Cedarville was named for a cedar swamp near the original town site. Nestled between Cape Cod Bay and a number of wooded areas and ponds, Cedarville is popular with families because of its abundance of water activities ranging from swimming and boating to fishing and clamming. The Hedges Pond Recreational Area at Hedges Pond provides day-use for swimming, non-motorized boating, hiking and other sports. White Cliffs Country Club is a golf course set along the ocean cliffs that is a much photographed site for waterfront weddings overlooking Cape Cod Bay. The area is also home to the Ponds of Plymouth development which includes 825 houses on large spacious lots with a suburban feel.
Cedarville is bounded to the north by Ellisville Road and Hedges Pond; to the south by the town of Bourne; to the west by Little Herring Pond and Great Herring Pond; and to the east by Cape Cod Bay.
