Where Are The Most Exclusive Areas on the Cape?

Cape Cod is known for its beautiful beaches, beautiful homes and waterfront possibilities, but some of the most exclusive areas on the Cape take luxury and recreation to an entirely new level.

Brewster

Brewster is home to the exclusive Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club. Membership here affords golf course and beach accessibility. While it hasn’t been open nearly as long as some other clubs on the Cape, Ocean Edge is thought to be one of the region’s finest locations.

Unlike some other exclusive clubs, the public can book at room at the resort and apply for club membership. Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club offers upscale accommodations, an 18-hole private golf course with views, on-site dining and a spa.

Chatham

Chatham, meanwhile, is home to Eastward Ho! Country Club. First opened in the 1920s, the private club and golf course offers some simply breathtaking views overlooking Pleasant Bay. The private club isn’t easy to get into, though.  Current members have to refer prospective new members, who then move on to a waiting list. Guests also have to be introduced by current members. Eastward Ho! Offers an 18-hole private golf course and on-site dining in an upscale setting.

Chatham is also where you’ll find Chatham Bars Inn. The site has four restaurants and two private dining rooms to experience. The resort and spa additionally offers a boardwalk leading to a private beach overlooking Aunt Lydia’s Cove, a spa and fitness center, and a variety of elegant rooms and suites to choose from.

Harwich

Harwich is where you’ll find the exclusive Wequassett Resort and Golf Club. Originally dating back to the 1920s itself, Wequassett today offers five waterfront restaurants, Har-Tru tennis courts and access to the prestigious Cape Cod National Golf Club. Wequassett accommodations range from luxury suites to waterfront cottages.

Harwich is also home to three deepwater harbors and one of the best places to keep a yacht on Cape Cod.  These exclusive harbors offer direct access to open waters of Nantucket Sound and sailing to Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket and the Elizabethan Islands.
