The Ridge Club in Sandwich
Home to an 18-hole golf course and a large clubhouse, The Ridge Club in Sandwich is in for some improvements, likely slated for the near future. Recently coming under new management, the new owners are currently developing plans for making some capital improvements to the club.
While the new owners aren’t releasing many details just yet, they’re not anticipating making too many changes to the long-standing private club. They may, however, present more options for members to enjoy a larger range of clubs. The ClubCorp network already offers up access to hundreds of private clubs and offerings at more than 1,000 resorts, hotels and entertainment venues.
The Ridge Club sits in a gated Sandwich community. Along with the golf course, the property also includes a Cape Cod-style clubhouse with dining options, two Har-Tru tennis courts, event space and a swimming complex.
First developed decades ago, The Ridge Club is one of a handful of private golf courses located in the Sandwich area. The gated community in which it sits also features around 180 private homes in a variety of designs, some of which enjoy superb golf course views.
With large homes and large lots, some of the homes in The Ridge Club feature desirable outdoor space, plus modern updates including granite countertops and plenty of storage space. You may also find open floor plans with soaring ceilings and custom built-ins. Some of the homes have also been nicely updated in more recent years.
The Town of Sandwich, for its part, is the oldest town on the Cape. First settled and incorporated in the 1600s, the town has many historic homes to its credit, some of which date back centuries. It’s also well known as the former home of the old Boston & Sandwich Glass Company, now preserved in history at the Sandwich Glass Museum.
