If you truly want to get a taste of the Cape, make plans to head to the region soon!  Wellfleet Restaurant Week runs from May 27-June 2 this year, and the selections are sure to tempt your taste buds, and guarantee you’ll be returning for more.

The great part about restaurant week is that it typically falls at an ideal time for visiting the Cape.  Often times, the large crowds haven’t gathered yet because the summer season hasn’t officially started.  This gives visitors, as well as locals, a chance to sample all of the diverse restaurants, as well as explore fantastic local shops, art galleries, area beaches and live entertainment options.

In all, there are more than 20 local restaurants that participate in restaurant week.  These include everything

nauset ice cream eastham maThere’s nothing like cooling off after a day in the sun with ice cream, and no place better to do it than on Cape Cod.  We came up with a list of three of our favorite spots for indulging in the sweet treat.

Sundae School Ice Cream

First on the list is Sundae School Homemade Ice Cream in Dennis Port.  Sure to satisfy your sweet tooth, this local tradition has been around since 1976.  The shop still makes homemade ice cream every day, just like they did in the old days.  The shop is located in a renovated historic barn, and includes a nearly 100-year-old marble soda fountain.

The Cape Sea Grille
The Cape Sea Grille offers fresh local seafood and fresh local ingredients to its mix of American-style cuisine.  Located just steps away from the water, this elegant and upscale restaurant is found in an old sea captain’s home, dating back to the 19th century.

The restaurant features such delicacies as whole lobster, lamb and steak.  The Cape Sea Grill is located right off Route 28.  Reservations are accepted.

Our next stop on the culinary tour of Harwich Port includes a visit to L’Alouette.  This French-inspired restaurant also offers selections using fresh, local

While Cape Cod is a fun place to live and visit, it’s also a fantastic place to grab a bite to eat.  This is especially true if you’re looking for fresh seafood and other tasty delights.  When it comes to the coastal areas, there’s nothing quite like the charming Town of Eastham.  While normally a quiet, beach community known for it’s scenic views, Eastham also is home to some great options when it comes to dining.  We went in search of the best, and came up with our top three choices when it comes to Eastham restaurants.

Arnold’s Lobster & Clam Bar

Our first choice is appropriately named Arnold’s Lobster & Clam Bar.  Only open during the busy tourist season, Arnold’s has been a staple along the Cape for more than 35 years.  Best known for its fresh

When it comes to getting a true taste of Cape Cod, you may find it’s hard to choose from all the restaurants. That’s why we tried to narrow down all of the options into just a few great ones.  In the search for our favorite Chatham restaurants, we came up with three that you just don’t want to miss.

Impudent Oyster

Known for its amazing seafood, Impudent Oyster offers fresh mussels, delectable chowder and a highly rated baked stuffed lobster that gets rave reviews.  For lunch, try the lobster roll, lightly fried Cape Fish-Wich or even the Kobe beef burger.  Dinner runs a tad on the pricey side, but offers such selections as lamb, filet and lobster.

This local hangout is noted by locals as one of the places to go if you want to be seen on the
