Cape Cod is full of charming sites and attractions, but now one particular location holds the honor of officially being named one of “The 30 Most Charming Small Cities in the USA”.  The designation comes from TravelMag.com.

It recently put Falmouth on the list of the nation’s most charming locations. The website points out settlers first arrived in Falmouth in the 1600s and named the location after a British town. To this day, it still retains its own laid-back appeal.

TravelMag makes mention of Falmouth’s sandy beaches, wineries, waterfront dining and the Nobska Light. The landmark lighthouse has a keeper’s house, which is being turned into a maritime museum.

It’s well known for its beaches and it’s nightlife, but now one Cape Cod town has another reason to shine. Provincetown was just ranked one of America’s friendliest cities for 2021.

The honor comes from Expedia traveler reviews. The website compiled reviews from early 2019 to late 2020.  It then used Expedia user comments to make a list of “20 of the Top Friendliest Cities in the U.S.”. In the latest ranking, Provincetown took 10th place.

Travelers praised the seaside town’s boutique hotels. Many of its local inns and hotels received high marks from travelers.

While Boston is certainly a great place for those of all ages to enjoy, it seems the city is especially popular with millennial buyers. According to LendingTree.com, Boston is one of the most popular cities right now for millennial homebuyers.

The online lending platform looked at mortgage purchase requests across the country’s 50 largest metro areas over much of 2020. What analysts found was a relatively high number of purchase requests in Boston were coming from millennials.

Specifically, millennials made up more than 59-percent of purchase requests. That was the second largest share tied to millennials, right behind San Jose and slightly ahead of Denver.

As one of the Cape’s top vacation spots for generations, Provincetown continues to draw in visitors with its friendly, artistic vibe. While P-Town has long been considered a top LGBTQ destination, it’s also getting prominent national recognition.

Realtor.com is just one online publication that recently put Provincetown near the top of the list when it comes to the nation’s most LGBTQ-friendly towns and cities. The website looked at US Census Bureau data to find cities with the highest percentage of same-sex couples.

One of the latest rankings comes from Top Counseling Schools, which matches up students with great options in colleges and universities. The Cape Cod town ranked number 11 on its list of the 20 happiest small towns.

Barnstable grabbed the number two spot behind Naples when it comes to locations with the highest social well-being.
