Just in Time for Summer - the Top 7 Beaches on Cape Cod

The summer season is here, and just in time for warmer temperatures and sunshine, we’re revealing the top seven beaches on Cape Cod. In no particular order, these are some of the true favorites:

Coast Guard Beach - Eastham

Stunning Coast Guard Beach in Eastham is a popular space for surfing and birding. Part of the Cape Cod National Seashore, a free shuttle runs back and forth from the visitor center during the busy summer months.

Mayflower Beach – Dennis

Also part of the Seashore, Mayflower Beach in Dennis is an extremely popular location. Surfers and boogie boarders come here for the waves, but the location is also praised for its scenery. The beach offers lifeguards, a boardwalk, restrooms and showers.

Race Point Beach – Provincetown

While it’s a great spot for surfing, you may also find some shallow areas of Race Point Beach for swimming. The Provincetown beach is just a few miles from Downtown Provincetown, which makes it easy to do some shopping or grab a bite to eat.

Marconi Beach – Wellfleet

Marconi Beach in Wellfleet is an Atlantic beach marked by dunes and sea cliffs. The beach offers paid parking, restrooms, showers and changing rooms. The beach is so large it’s relatively easy to grab a spot on the sand.

Lighthouse Beach – Chatham

You may not want to try swimming, but Lighthouse Beach is a great place to go for a stroll and take in the scenery. It’s also a popular spot to catch a glimpse of Chatham Light. There aren’t any lifeguards, however, and the currents can be strong.

Ballston Beach – Truro

If you want to avoid the crowds, consider Ballston Beach in Truro. Not only is the beach family-friendly, but it’s also a good spot to snap some photos.

Nauset Beach – Orleans

You’ll find a huge parking lot at Nauset Beach, but it still pays to arrive early. The Orleans beach is a popular spot for swimming and boogie boards. It’s even open to off-road vehicles with a permit.
