Joe Perry Lists Historic Estate

Aerosmith fans have the chance to own a piece of rock history. After more than three decades of living in the South Shore, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry recently put his historic estate on the market.

Perry’s Brook Haven Farm estate stretches across seven-acres in Duxbury, complete with five-bedrooms, four-baths and more than 7,000 square feet of living space. Perry and his wife originally purchased the country estate in the late 1980s, but the home was constructed in the 1970s.

The home does have some star-worthy inclusions. Over the years they added a carriage house, a barn and tack room, as well as a guitar-shaped swimming pool.

Fans are also sure to appreciate a studio on the property’s called “The Boneyard”. That’s where the musician and the rest of the band wrote and recorded such hit songs as “Fever” and “Cryin”.

The main home features custom woodwork and wood-beam ceilings. The entry, meanwhile, makes another reference to its rock star owner, as it comes  a green marble floor etched with crossed guitars.

The home also features high-end appliances, a kitchen island and quartz countertops. The master bedroom comes with a fireplace and a custom dressing room.

You will also find a media room, a tearoom and a family room leading to a roof deck. Other features include a home gym and a billiards room.

The gated property is priced at $4.5 million, including waterfalls, ponds and plenty of privacy. Brook Haven Farm sits close to Duxbury beaches, while it is also only about 35 miles from Boston.

Situated right on Cape Cod Bay, the historic Town of Duxbury was first founded in the 1600s. The seaside community is mostly residential, with access to great beaches, schools and recreation, including the private Duxbury Yacht Club. It is one of the nation’s oldest yacht clubs, with sailing, tennis, golf and more.
