There’s plenty of fun to be found in Chatham, from strolling the local shops of Main Street to exploring nature and enjoying the area’s rich history. In fact, from family-friendly attractions to fishing charters and local artwork, there’s always something going on in this bustling small New England town.

If you envision a relaxing day at the beach, make time to head to Oyster Pond Beach. While the beach isn’t large the water is calm and warm, making it a perfect location for kids of all ages. You can also head to Hardings Beach for a game of beach volleyball or head out to catch a glimpse of historic Chatham Light.

Get back to nature at Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge where visitors have the option of hiking one of the many trails or experience seal and bird watching like you’ve never seen before. If you want to watch the fishermen come in with their latest catch you can do that too from the Chatham Fish Pier.

Bask in the glory and enjoyment of a small town while taking a stroll along Main Street, filled with interesting restaurants and shops. While you’re there, grab a blanket or folding chairs to enjoy some live, big band music every Friday night during the summer season at Kate Gould Park.

Older kids will enjoy Chatham’s new skateboard park while those of all ages can learn more about the region from the Chatham Marconi Maritime Center. You can also view the windmill at Chase Park or hit the rails with a step back in time at Chatham Railroad Museum.

Veterans Field sets the stage for the boys of summer as the Chatham Anglers baseball team takes the field each season. Meanwhile, get everyone in the action with a pickup game of horseshoes at Volunteer Park.
