From its trendy restaurants and shops to its vibrant nightlife, the Seaport District is a fun spot for locals and visitors to experience Boston. Although it once served as home to factories, the vibrant area now welcomes locals and visitors to dining and retail, office space, hotels, museums, and some enjoyable outdoor space.

After all, part of the appeal of the Seaport District is enjoying the natural beauty of the Boston area. One location to check out is Boston Maritime Park. The location provides a seasonal café and some shaded outdoor seating.

Another great option is to take a stroll or jog along the waterfront. The Boston Harborwalk is one of the Seaport District’s best spots for enjoying views of the city and the water. There’s also a six-acre marina.

For more great views overlooking the waterfront, try attending an event at ICA. The building’s back deck is a fun place to eat lunch and take in some views.

Another great place to sit back and relax outside in the Seaport District is Seaport Common. The park offers space for a picnic, space to get in a workout and space to enjoy a live concert. It’s also the scene of the popular Seaport Farmers Market and a summer exercise series on the green.

For games and events throughout the year, consider spending some time at The Lawn on D. With plenty of green space, the location is a popular spot for families. It’s well known for its distinctive glowing swings, but it’s also a destination for live music, food festivals and outdoor movies in the Boston area.

If you have younger kids, consider spending time at the newly opened Martin’s Park. The privately funded park sits conveniently next door to the Boston Children’s Museum, offering up access to slides, a water garden and a performance stage.
