The summer season may be big on Cape Cod, but there’s are a number of “can’t miss” Christmas activities that are just getting started.

Pilgrim Monument Lighting- Nov 27-Jan 6
Provincetown

The Pilgrim Monument is a great place to visit between now and early January. The monument is currently lit up with more than 3,000 lights. This year’s lighting also commemorates the upcoming 400th anniversary of the Mayflower’s first landing.

Lobster Pot Tree- Nov 30-January
Provincetown

While you’re in Provincetown, don’t miss the Lobster Pot Tree. Formed by more than 100 lobster pots, the unique tree includes thousands of lights, buoys and plastic lobsters. It stays lit up through January.

Train to Christmas Town- Now- Dec 23
Buzzards Bay

Trade the sailboat for the train with the annual Train to Christmas Town excursion. The train ride takes off from Buzzards Bay with a trip to Christmas Town and a visit with Santa and his elves.

A Seaside Christmas in Orleans- Nov 30-Dec 31
Orleans

Have fun strolling through area galleries, shops and more during a Seaside Christmas in Orleans. The annual event is a fun time to shop, grab a bite to eat or simply enjoy all the activities of this town-wide celebration.

Gardens Aglow- Nov 29- Dec 29 Heritage Museums & Gardens
Sandwich

Take in miles of holiday lights, model train displays and live music at Gardens Aglow. This annual event lights up Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich on select nights through late December.

Falmouth Holidays by the Sea Weekend- Dec 6-8
Falmouth Harbour

Another experience you don’t want to miss is Santa’s arrival to Falmouth Harbor. Old Saint Nick himself comes in by boat the first weekend of December. The Holidays by the Sea Weekend also includes a Jingle Jog 5K, caroling, a Christmas parade and a Holiday Stroll.
