Candleberry Inn in Brewster Named to Top 100 Hotels

Seasoned travelers know there are exceptional hotels all over the world, but some of the best of the best exist right here in New England. This summer, Travel+Leisure released the results of its “Readers’ 100 Favorite Hotels in the World for 2023”, and one in Brewster made the cut. 

The Candleberry Inn in Brewster tied for 75^th place with another venue in Mexico. The publication made mention of the Candleberry Inn being a “classic Cape Cod B&B” with a main building and a nearby carriage house.

The inn sits on the National Register of Historic Places, as portions of its main building date back to the late 18^th century. The inn received a “Reader Score” of more than 97 points.

To come up with the ranking, readers were tasked with sharing their own opinions on top hotels all around the world. In all, the responses of nearly 165,000 readers were tallied this year.

Hotels were rated on everything from location and service to food, value, and rooms/facilities. It’s not the only time the Candleberry Inn has received top honors.

TripAdvisor recently listed it as number one in the category of US Bed & Breakfasts and Inns for its own “Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Hotels”. The publication made mention of the inn’s two acres of grounds and some of its amenities.

The Candleberry Inn boasts on its own website about some of the special things it does for guests, such as supplying Turkish towels and robes, 600-thread count sheets, and a gourmet breakfast. There are only nine guest rooms on the property, including six rooms in the Main House. 

The other three rooms are part of the Carriage House. Recently, the inn renovated and upgraded all of its bathrooms. The Candleberry Inn sits within walking distance of Breakwater Beach and is just a short drive from the National Seashore.
