Bass River Dennis

The Bass River in Dennis & Yarmouth is popular with the boating community because it is one of the fastest ways to access Nantucket Sound and the open ocean off Cape Cod. The eleven mile river winds from Kelly's Bay in the north, to Nantucket Sound in the south and is home to both the West Dennis Yacht Club and the Bass River Yacht Club. In the summer months Bass River comes alive, with boats of all sizes, kayaks, and canoes.The river is lined with beautiful homes on large lots, many with their own docks.

The Bass River is bordered by West Dennis and Dennis Port to the east and the town of Yarmouth to the west. Border roads include Pleasant Street, Highbank Road, Blue Rock Road, Main Street and Uncle Barney’s Road.  The neighborhood also includes the Bass River Golf Club, The Wilbur Preserve North, and Indian Lands Conservation Areas.  Residential areas include Jessie's Lane, River Street, Fairwind Circle, Farm Lane, Obeds Lane, Albion Way and Merchant Avenue.
