Barque Hill
Barque Hill is a wooded enclave of single-family homes in Norwell. The neighborhood encompasses Till Rock Lane, Stetson Road, and Brigantine Circle, which is nestled along the North River. Homes overlooking the North River are especially sought after, commanding million dollar price tags. Barque Hill is named in honor of the former North River shipyards where thousands of boats, including barques, schooners, and brigantines, were constructed from the late 1600s to the 1850s. The neighborhood features a diverse housing stock ranging from colonials, capes, and antique homes to newer construction and even some contemporaries — each sitting on approximately one acre of land. Residents cite the bucolic feel of the neighborhood with its scenic roads and stone walls as a large part of the area’s appeal. Shipyard Park is another draw. The 10-acre outdoor space houses a large field, boat landing, and newly built fire pit and is known for its scenic trails and waterfront activities.
Barque Hill is located in Norwell off off Stetson Road, east of River Street and south of MA Route 3.
