Adams Village

Adams Village is a diverse neighborhood located in the Dorchester section of Boston. Residents enjoy its pedestrian-friendly vibe within walking distance of several parks, the popular Greenhills Irish bakery, and a public library branch. The area is also close to Neponset Circle for easy access to Downtown Boston and the South Shore by car. The neighborhood houses a number of “Philadelphia-style” residences which are spacious 2.5 story-versions of the triple deckers that dominate the Boston area. Victorians are another popular architectural style, often graced with generous porches and small stained glass windows. Many of these buildings have been renovated and repurposed as multi-family and condo units in the last few years and offer up to 3- and 4-bedroom floor plans, which are unusual for the city.

Adams Village lies northeast of the Cedar Grove area of Dorchester; south of Peabody Square; east of Ashmont and west of Neponset. Other nearby Boston neighborhoods include Quincy to the east; Mattapan to the west; Milton to the southwest and South Boston to the north.
